About Me

The Quick Version

I’m an Assistant Professor at Embry-Riddle (yes, the aviation school—long story), a published author with Abingdon Press, and a stand-up comedian who performs clean comedy for corporate events and church functions.

I’ve been married for 25+ years, raised two adult kids (which makes me feel like an AARP poster child), and I’ve taught everything from junior high Spanish to college composition to online grad courses.

I started doing speaking and comedy because I was tired of Christian speakers who made faith sound boring and formulaic. I started writing Bible studies because I read too many devotionals that assumed everyone’s life looked like a Pinterest board. And I keep doing this work because I genuinely believe Jesus is better than the watered-down version we’ve been selling.
